The speculations are not yet over about what will happen in 2012. As the scientists predicted the world has a chance to end. With Mayan calendar completing the 5,125 year cycle, the “end of days” for earth will arrive by the year end. Well dump all those thoughts and plan out havoc parties welcoming New Year 2012.

New Year's Day

The New Year's Day is celebrated on January 1 every year. In 2012, New Year falls on a Sunday. As per the federal government holidays in US, January 2 will be declared as holiday, since the main event falls on a weekend. This day is special for everyone as it marks the beginning of a fresh year as per the Gregorian calendar.

Celebration begins a day before, which is more popularly known as New Year's Eve. The people of United States celebrate the day through parades, musical shows, public gatherings and fireworks bidding an adieu to the year gone by in the happiest note.

Observing New Year in 2012

Enthralling fireworks, throbbing parties with live musical performance and fun and laughter is what marks the beginning of a new year. The celebration for New Year 2012 would not be any less exciting. People in United States never miss the chance to make it bigger every year. In most of the cities, people are found taking parts in parades and road shows in colorful dresses. The sports fanatics also organize local rugby tournaments followed by grand lunch. It’s a common custom to exchange gifts with the near and dear ones reminding them about the happy times year that has gone by.

The New Year’s Eve is also the time to make resolutions for the forthcoming year. Promises to pick up new habits letting go the ill ones involves a lot of fun and excitement. Nightlong parties and public gatherings are organized at every home and hotels of the cities. Grand fiesta, music, dance, and liquor are frequent in each of these New Year bashes.

The New Year in 2012 will be marked as an official holiday in USA. All the government organizations, colleges, schools and public offices will remain closed on January 1 and 2. The public transport system also follows a different schedule than their regular ones. Some of the roads will likely remain closed due to parades and road shows. In some of the streets, government will also plan a cleaning operation.

NoScript Links to Security and Privacy Information

The Firefox NoScript add-on is one of the best, if not the best, web browser security extensions. NoScript’s core functionality, the blocking of all scripts on all websites, protects the user from script based web attacks. Additional functionality has been integrated into the add-on over years, including anti-XSS protection, Application Boundaries Enforcer or the inclusion of external filter lists. One of the things that is currently missing are suggestions, or at least additional information, about scripts and domains that have been blocked by NoScript. The only option up until now was to use a search engine to locate information about a particular domain name manually.
Ghacks reader Jojo just mentioned that he discovered a new NoScript feature that opens a page of security and privacy related links for domains listed in the NoScript domain listing. The method, while stile requiring a few clicks to receive results, is improving this workflow significantly.

A middle-click on a domain name opens a new browser page with links to several privacy and security information.

The page links to the following security and privacy related services and databases: Web of Trust, McAfee Site Advisor, Webmaster Tips Site, Safe Browsing Diagnostic and hpHost Report.

• Web of Trust – Displays trustworthiness, vendor reliability, privacy and child safety ratings as well as user comments.
• McAfee site Advisor – Informs about download safety, online affiliations and possible annoyances.
• Webmaster Tips – Does not load currently.
• Google Safe Browsing – Displays if Google considers the site to be suspicious, if it has distributed or hosted malware, and if pages on the site contained malware during Google bot visits.
• hpHosts – Lists IP, host and server related information about the selected domain.

Direct optional integration of at least one service into the NoScript domain listing would be optimal. It would also be great if links to standard web searches would be displayed on the services page.

A web proxy is becoming more and more important in today’s internet. Schools and companies tend to block sites pretty quickly nowadays.It is especially irritating when the ban is directed towards just a few websites and not every website in that category. A Web Proxy might be able to sneak past this policies and display the site in your browser even though it is banned in the network.
How does a web proxy work ?
A network bans a website either by its IP, its name or part of its name. A web proxy makes only shows its own address to the network and not the actual destination of the user. The admin of the network will think everything is fine and you are free to reach the site that is banned. The only thing that might happen is that the admin is banning the web proxy as well, but this is not a big deal either. Hundreds of web proxies exist, just switch to a new one and you are ready to visit the banned site again.

Setup your own Web Proxy Server:

Let us assume that all proxy websites have been banned in your network, you can´t find a single web proxy that is still working. Your best choice is to create your own web proxy at an address that only you know. All you need is the php web proxy proxy and some webspace with php to upload it to. Search Google for free webspace php and you should find some hosts that allow you to use php and upload your web proxy to them.
You can alternatively use a cgi web proxy which needs a webspace with cgi enabled.

Please not that the list does not display if the webproxy is able to handle scripts, I did not find a reliable way to make a test for all languages out there, therefor this has not been added to the list. I also removed websites that loaded slowly, displayed errors or forced you to click on an ad before you could use the service.
It is most likely that the name “proxy” might have been banned as well, try using web proxies that do not have proxy i their url, this might help.

Penyebab Blue Screen of Death (BSOD)

Pernahkah anda mengalami Blue Screen of Death (BSOD)?. BSOD kalau diartikan ke dalam bahasa Indonesia artinya adalah Layar Biru Kematian. Sedangkan pengertiannya adalah notifikasi atau pesan error yang muncul pada sistem operasi Microsoft Windows ketika terjadi suatu kegagalan sistem yang tidak bisa diperbaiki.

Ada banyak faktor yang bisa menyebabkan BSOD tersebut. Menurut pengalaman serta kumpulan hal-hal yang dapat saya peroleh antara lain :

1. Setting mode hardisk di BIOS, meskipun sepele tapi hal ini seringkali menjadi masalah besar sebenarnya tidak sulit untuk mengatasi masalah ini, kita tinggal mengganti mode hardisk dari AHCI atau SATA (tergantung type bios) menjadi compatible atau IDE (tergantung type bios juga)

2. CD windows yang tidak mendukung pada SATA atau tidak memiliki driver SATA, hal ini dapat diselesaikan dengan cara mengubah atau menambahkan driver SATA pada installer windows kita, salah satunya dengan menjalankan software nlite.

3. RAM / memory yang bermasalah, RAM yang bermasalah seringkali menjadi penyebab blue screen pada proses instalasi windows, cara yang paling mudah untuk mengatasi masalah ini adalah dengan mengganti RAM agar proses installasi berjalan dengan lancar, atau mengambil salah satu memory yang ada jika permasalahanya adalah crash pada RAM.

4. Hardisk yang bermasalah

5. Power supply yang tidak memberikan supply listrik yang stabil atau drop, Lebih baik kita mengganti power supply agar komponen lain tidak bermasalah.

6. Motherboard yang bermasalah.

4. Harimau Sumatera

Harimau sumatra merupakkan jenis harimau terakhir yg masih hidup di Indonesia.Harimau sumatra terus diburu karena meningkatnya permintaan bagian tuuhnya.Kulit harimau banyak dimanfaatkan untuk berbagai keperluan,seperti tas,sepatu,ataupun bahan pakaian. Harimau sumatra jika terus di buru.

5. Badak Jawa

Badak jawa terdapat di Taman Nasional Ujung Kulon,banten.Hewan tersebut terancam punah.Badak jawa di sebut juga badak bercula satu.

6. Kura-kura Berleher Ular ( lihat gambar diatas )

Meskipun jenis kura-kura itu baru ditemukan ,tetapi hewan tersebut sudah terancam punah. Hewan itu hanya ada di pulau Roti, Indonesia. Hewan tersebut banyak di buru untuk di jual di luar negeri.

7. Penyu Hijau

Jumlahnya semakin berkurang & terancam punah.penyebabnya adalah pantai-pantai rusak dan pemburuan liar.Hewan itu dapat di temukan di pantai pangumbahan dan Suaka Margasatwa Cikepuh,sukabumi,jawa barat.

8. Ikan Pari Hiu


Ikan pari hiu di temukan di lautan indonesia timur Hewan itu di tangkap untuk memenuhi permintaan rumah makanan.jumlahnya sekarang semakin berkurang.

9. Ikan Gergaji Bergigi Besar

Sama dengan ikan pari hiu ,Ikan gergaji bergigi besar di temukan di lautan Indonesia timur Kondisinya pun sama, keberadaan nya pun semakin berkurang Hewan ini di manfaat kan untuk makanan.

The technology has recently been discovered on Android and Apple smartphones in a way that the discoverer called rootkit-like. Users have a hard time finding out if Carrier IQ is running on their phone, and virtually no possibility of finding out which data it collects or transfers. To top it all off, there is no native option to disable Carrier IQ from running on the phone.
If you are like me, you’d probably want to know if a program that can virtually access all data on the phone is running on it and with which server and companies it communicates.
Bitdefender Carrier IQ Finder is a new program for Android mobile phones by Bitdefender that can be used to find out if the technology is running on a phone.
Android users need to download the application from Android Market where it is available for free. The app has been designed to detect Carrier IQ on Android phones. It cannot remove the technology nor detect or remove malicious software from the phone.
Android users can point their browsers to the Bitdefender carrier IQ Finder market place listing to install the program directly from there. It is necessary to be logged in a Google account to install the app.
The app will search for traces of Carrier IQ on the phone on start up.

A red screen after the scan indicates that Carrier IQ has been found running on the system, a green screen that the technology has not been found on the smartphone.
What can you do if Carrier IQ has been found on your phone? It may be virtually impossible to remove the technology completely from the phone. You could contact your carrier for additional information about the technology

I have uploaded quite a few videos to the video hosting platform YouTube in past months. Since there were no editing options on site, I had to use desktop applications like Virtual Dub to edit the video before publishing it on YouTube. Editing included cutting and adding music to the video before uploading it.
Google yesterday announced on the official YouTube blog that they have added editing options on YouTube. These editing options become available for all users and all uploaded videos of a particular user on the site.
When you open one of your videos on YouTube, you see a new Edit Video link at the top next to Edit Info there.

A click on that link opens an edit video screen on Youtube that auto-plays the original video and the edited video on the screen. Video editing options are displayed in tabs on the page. The Quick Fixes tab for instance can be used to trim and stabilize the video, to rotate it left or right, to auto-correct lighting and color, and to make changes to lighting, coloring and saturation of the video.Each change is highlighted directly in the preview area.

The Effect tabs offers access to filters that can be applied to the video. This includes a Black and White effect, Sepia or a cartoon effect. It is unlikely that many YouTube video uploaders will make use of those effects. They do not really add anything to the video, but make them harder to watch. Still, there may be users that will make use of the Neon Pink or Green filters, and if it is only to annoy the hell out of their friends.
The Audio tab finally offers to add or exchange the audio track of the video. There is unfortunately still no option to use multiple songs for a video. That’s a issue if the selected audio track is shorter than the video play time.

Most video uploaders will still use third party software for their video editing needs. The options on YouTube are nice for quick limited edits though.

Enter Windows Phone 7

With the smartphone market already crammed with handsets, operating systems and options, Microsoft have now entered the fray with their latest and greatest.  At an event in New York city this morning, Windows Phone 7 was officially unveiled.
It’s exciting too, finally a smartphone OS for people who bemoan the lack of buttons on their handsets and a budgeting department that Ridley Scott would be jealous of.  Microsoft have $1 billion to throw at this product launch worldwide, and this is on top of whatever handset manufacturers and mobile operators will add to the mix.  You can be certain that you’ll be hearing a lot more about this mobile OS over the next few months.
Everything’s in place too, the new Windows Phone website has launched and the new version of the Zune software, which will be used to synchronise the devices with your PC has also been made available today.
What happens now will depend very much on the quality of the advertisements that Microsoft produce.  Apple received a pasting with their negative anti-Windows adverts around the time that Windows 7 launched.  People don’t like negative advertising, but equally they don’t respond to adverts that don’t speak to them.  With Windows Phone 7 Microsoft have to make certain that they do this.
If you’re as excited about this new smartphone OS as I am you’ll be getting on regardless, but if you’re an average phone user who hasn’t yet made the jump to a smartphone you’ll be harder to impress.  You might be pushed towards it as handsets with buttons become increasingly harder to buy, but if Microsoft get it right, this could tempt you to at least try a device in a store when you’ve not wanted to try the app-centric iOS or Android in the past.
Whatever happens it’s clear that both iOS and Android are here to stay.  They both have a large market share and they both have legions of fans.  I don’t believe that WP7 is tempting enough to lure anyone away.
Give it time though and if Microsoft have got the advertising right you’ll pass by a mobile phone shop in a couple of months and might wander in to try one.  If they get it wrong, good luck to them.

Windows Store Details Announced

Microsoft’s next operating system Windows 8 will have an app store. That’s what every tech savvy Windows user knows. Microsoft’s own Antoine Leblond and Ted Dworkin have now
started a small series of posts about the Windows Store over at the Building Windows 8 blog. Much of what’s being said in the first post is aimed at software developers and companies who may consider publishing their apps in the store.
Most interesting from a developer point of view are the store’s fee structure and the ways to earn money with apps. Individual developers pay $49, businesses $99 to register for a Windows Store developer account. Developers earn 70% of every customer dollar for the first $25,000 dollars of an app’s sales, and 80% afterwards.
Microsoft will be handling all the payment processing. Software companies and developers can earn money through other means, including in-app purchases, advertising and even third party commerce transactions.
Windows Store agreements have been published which contain standard application license terms and other information important for app developers. Both the agreements and the business terms are preliminary and subject to change.

Windows Store contents are indexed by search engines, and users can directly link to app web pages.
The Windows Store will be available when the Windows Beta ships. It will offer free and commercial apps alike. Microsoft is currently trying to stimulate app development with the first apps contest for Windows 8.
A windows Store video has been published that highlights the known details of the store.
It will be interesting to see how Microsoft’s store fares in comparison to Apple’s store or the Android market. While I’m not 100% certain it seems as if the store is only about Metro style apps and not about standard software programs for the Windows operating system.
While it is to early to tell if that’s really the case, it feels like as if Microsoft is missing out on this great opportunity to sell software to Windows users via the store directly.

Why Are Developers So Scared Of Innovation?

Most games that come out, seem to follow the same formula. Shooter, create story, create drama, same mechanics, send it to the presses. Very rarely do games venture into other genre’s territory, such as a shooter with heavy RPG elements or an action game that changes movement and how you react, defying gravity. We will refer to this, as CrewShadow has called it “C.O.D Syndrome”. This is where a game genre or even company, such as Call Of Duty will not switch its formula in any way, even if it may open the game up to more gamers and avenues. But Why?

Developers have to work with the Publishers, unless they are large enough where they can fully support their development effort. In most cases, that cannot occur. Some games have very long development cycles, such as Alan Wake where no independent publisher could honestly afford to pay for three or four years in development. Thus, game developers have to cater to what a publisher may be likely to pick up. If an idea seems too ambitious and a market for the specific type of game niche doesn’t already exist, the publisher is already running a race they may not be able to win. Thus, to obtain the publisher who may agree to front money and pay for the man hours and promotion, come to them with an idea that has been done to death and has sold games….

Unless your product is being produced by someone who has a good track record of game success, or has an idea so revolutionary that any amount of common sense cannot change the fact the idea will succeed. For a game like that, it has to have a strong visionary who will not let the publisher alter the vision of the game so much it alienates the original content. Those are few and far between, but when they come around, they create great games that mesh genres (see: Bioshock, Borderlands, Fallout 3). But again…

Developers stick with formulas and formats for gameplay that they know are familiar. The gameplay style is a fluid marriage of both looks and functionality, and some developers fear that if their mechanics are not up to par, the game will flop (see: Dark Void and Vanquish). Thus, with the impending deadlines and rising production costs, a developer has to try and do as much as they can, in as short of a time as they can. In most cases, it is disastrous and some games have thankfully been delayed to ensure gameplay mechanics and all of the performance of the game is in good working order a la Gears of War 3. A good developer knows how to tell the publisher what is required to ensure maximum profit.

…But still, innovation isn’t seen as brilliance, but a cursed idea in which a developer will want to be ambitious, but that ambition truly means as creative and functional as you can be within a certain timeframe, pending the mechanics work. Many a game has been released, and then the developers admitted they did not have adequate time to polish the game and create a functional game with an intricate enjoyable story.

This curse will continue as long as developers and publishers know that any Call of Duty, Halo, Resistance or any other game that is run of the mill shoot-em-up or third person shooter. Games like Brink and Dead Space, that push the envelope and try differently gameplay mechanics seem to be somewhat of the future path for the new generation, but they are fighting an uphill battle against the games that come out annually. As long as those annual games sell, originality will suffer.

Adobe Reader 9.4 Download Available

Adobe has just released an update for their popular pdf reader Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat, raising versions of the two programs to 9.4. Both program updates fix critical security vulnerabilities identified in Adobe Reader 9.3.4 and earlier, as well as Acrobat 9.3.4 and earlier. Vulnerabilities affect all supported operating systems, and users are encouraged to upgrade their version as soon as possible to protect their computer system from exploits.

The rushed state of the release indicates that the issue gets actively exploited which is confirmed in Adobe’s Security Bulletin that mentions that the issue is being actively exploited in the wild. Attackers may be able to crash the application on the computer and take control of the affected system in the process. Upgrading is the only way of protecting the computer from those vulnerabilities.

Adobe recommends users of Adobe Reader 9.3.4 and earlier versions for Windows, Macintosh and UNIX update to Adobe Reader 9.4. (For Adobe Reader users on Windows and Macintosh,
who cannot update to Adobe Reader 9.4, Adobe has provided the Adobe Reader 8.2.5 update.) Adobe recommends users of Adobe Acrobat 9.3.4 and earlier versions for Windows and Macintosh update to Adobe Acrobat 9.4. Adobe recommends users of Adobe Acrobat 8.2.4 and earlier versions for Windows and Macintosh update to Adobe Acrobat 8.2.5.

This accelerated patch breaks Adobe’s quarterly patch day that is set for every second Tuesday of each quarter of the year to fall in line with Microsoft’s Patch Tuesday. Interested users can take a closer look at the Security Bulletin, or point their web browsers to Get Adobe Reader right away to download the latest version of the pdf reader. Updates are also available directly in the program (by clicking on Help > Check for Updates).

Intel Announce Knight’s Corner, 22nm, 50 Cores

Fancy a processor with 1 teraflop of processing power in your PC?  Intel have today unveiled their new Knight’s Corner chip that uses a 22nm build process to pack a huge 50 cores onto the die.  This new (MIC) Many Integrated Core chip isn’t for playing Battlefield 3, frankly it would be wasted on that.  Instead this chip will be used solely for special scientific and engineering research into subjects like weather modelling, protein folding and cancer research.
What it means though is a huge leap forward in processing power and this can have the benefits of enabling supercomputers to perform vastly more calculations per second than are currently available, or for far smaller supercomputers to be constructed that would not only be considerably cheaper than today’s machines, but that would also consume much less electricity.
As and when this technology filters down towards the consumer level this will mean smaller and much more energy-efficient datacentres and rack servers that can support up to fifty virtualised environments simultaneously.

Obviously the huge memory required to support running this many VMs is not supported by modern server single-processor motherboards.  Intel will be busy now designing a new generation of motherboards to harness the full power of Knight’s Corner.
There’s no word yet on how much a single Knight’s Corner ship will cost and even who will be able to buy one.  There’s also no word on how reliable the new chip will be.  It is after-all, state of the art technology and packing so many processing cores into a single die will have enormous side-effects and will require some serious cooling.  Intel is obviously happy enough with their new monster though that they’re happy to put it on sale.
Intel say the Knight’s Corner chip is “fully accessible and programmable” and is “visible to applications as though it was  a computers that runs its own Linux-based operating system, independent of the host OS.”
The benefits of this new architecture are the ability to run existing applications without the need to port the code to a new programming environment, according to Tom’s Hardware.  This means that scientists will be able to use the chip with existing x86 and x64 applications and code which will save everything having to be rewritten for the new chip.
The next generation of processors for PCs will also be based on a 22nm manufacturing process that will make them faster and considerably more power-efficient.  Every generation of processors now consume much less energy than the ones before them and a processor has even been demonstrated now that consumes less power when working flat out than a standard PC chip today does when in standby.
With such enormous jumps being made up to 50 cores already, only a few short years after the first dual core chips arrived, it’s clear that it won’t be very long before we see more cores appearing on the desktop and in mobile devices.  Now the operating system manufacturers will need to start engineering their next generation products to leverage the power of these cores effectively to maximise the benefits they bring.

Cara Membaca Cepat - Banyak orang beranggapan bahwa membaca adalah pekerjaan yang sangat berat. Bila kita hitung-hitung, berapa banyak informasi (ilmu) yang bermanfaat terlewatkan begitu saja setiap hari. Padahal, saat ini kita begitu mudah mendapatkan bahan bacaan.

Tampubolon dalam bukunya Kemampuan Membaca, menyebutkan bahwa kemampuan membaca adalah kecepatan membaca dan pemahaman isi secara keseluruhan. Dengan meng-gunakan kedua aspek itu, Anda dapat mengukur kemampuan membaca Anda.


Pada umumnya, kecepatan membaca diukur dengan jumlah kata yang dibaca per menit, dan pemahaman diukur dengan persentase dari jawaban yang benar tentang isi bacaan. Tetapi hasil pengukuran kedua aspek ini harus diintegrasikan agar dapat menunjukkan kemampuan membaca secara keseluruhan (integral). Oleh karena itu, rumus yang bisa dipergunakan ialah :

Angka 60 yang ada pada rumus tersebut dipergunakan sebagai indeks untuk mengubah waktu baca dalam sekon menjadi menit, karena kemampuan membaca umumnya dinyatakan dengan jumlah kata per menit. Untuk menghitung jumlah kata dalam bacaan dapat dipergunakan cara berikut:

1. Hitunglah jumlah kata yang terdapat dalam satu garis penuh.
2. Hitunglah jumlah baris pada tiap kolom/halaman yang bersangkutan.

3. Hasil perkalian antara jumlah kata dan jumlah baris adalah jumlah kata yang terdapat dalam kolom atau halaman yang bersangkutan. Jika bacaan itu terdiri dari beberapa halaman, jumlah kata ialah hasil kali dari jumlah kata tiap baris, jumlah baris, dan jumlah halaman.

Persentase jawaban adalah persentase jawaban yang benar atas pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang disediakan. Misalkan, jika ada 5 pertanyaan dan jawaban yang benar adalah 3, persentase jawaban adalah:

1. Melakukan olah Napas

Tarik napas melalui hidung dan bawa udara kedalam paru-paru. Semakin banyak oksigen masuk kedalam aliran darh dan otak makan akan meningkatkan performa otak. Dan membua anda lebih rileks dan bisa berbikir jernih.

2. Meditasi

Verdict Is?: Ubuntu 11.04 beta arrives

That’s right, Ubuntu Natty Narwhal is about to hit the interwebs in its glossy, shiny, well-packaged, full-release form. But for now, we all have to sit back and enjoy the beta release. After downloading and installing this beta release, I thought users would like to know my first impressions on what is being offered up by Canonical and Ubuntu 11.04.
Yes, we’ve all heard the constant condemnation and kudos to Canonical for making such a bold move. I myself have even said the makers of one of the most user-friendly distributions are making a mistake. But the reality of it is — it’s just a user interface and it’s one that works well. It’s not perfect. It’s not flexible. It’s not remotely the norm. But it’s what Ubuntu is going with and there you have it. Ubuntu Unity will also not make or break Ubuntu. Why? Because users can choose from Unity or Classic GNOME. Or…users can opt for Kubuntu, or any other distribution based on Ubuntu.
And, truth be told, when you see the version of Unity that should be shipped with the full release, you might start seeing it in a bit of a different light. Even though Unity has had little time for real polishing, it has a fairly sleek look and feel. It’s solid and it works exactly as you would expect.
What is new to Unity? Here’s a list:

• Unity is now the default Ubuntu Desktop session.
• Drag and drop re-ordering of launcher icons.
• Full keyboard navigation support.
• Launch apps from keyboard shortcuts.er activation through keyboard shortcuts
• Right-click context menu quick-list support.
• Ability to switch between running applications
• Icons can be dragged and dropped from the Dash to the launcher.
• Three session types in GDM: Ubuntu (Unity, requires 3D support), Ubuntu Classic (Classic GNOME), Ubuntu Classic No Effects (Classic GNOME with visual effects turned off).
• Classic GNOME panel applets not supported in Unity.

But beyond Unity, what are we getting with 11.04 beta? Let’s dig in.
kernel
The beta release will bring little new functionality. What was in the final alpha will most like be seen in the beta. The kernel release is 2.6.38-7.39 which is based on the mainline 2.6.38 kernel. One change is that vesafb has be re-enabled as a module to help prevent GPU hangs and screen corruption on boot.
Packages
I was quite happy to find out that LibreOffice 3.3.2 is included with the beta release. If you are not familiar with LibreOffice, it is the fork of OpenOffice created after Oracle took over the reigns and starting upturning the open source community.
Also included are:

• Gcc 4.5
• Python 2.7
• dpkg 1.16.0-pre
• Upstart 0.9

Of the above list, the major update is upstart which has a number of new features (such as being chroot-aware and support for basic job/event visualization.
Overall impressions
My first impression with the 11.04 desktop was surprisingly positive. I was very much prepared to be underwhelmed, but found quite the opposite to be the case. The Unity desktop ran smooth and was very efficient. After playing with the desktop for a while it becomes quite clear the ultimate goal is that of touch screens. But even being touch-screen-centric, the desktop still works well under the current norm of mouse and keyboard.
I was also pleased to see how quickly the startup and shutdown process was. 11.04 might well be the fastest I have ever experienced.
Ultimately the decision to use Ubuntu 11.04 is going to boil down to how much you like the desktop. But even if you do not like Unity, there is always another desktop you can use instead. That is one of the best features of Linux, after all — flexibility.
I believe Ubuntu 11.04 is going to continue the tradition Ubuntu started long ago, which means 11.04 will still be one of the most user-friendly Linux distributions available. If you want to give 11.04 beta a try, download it here

Parkour Cilacap sudah 2 tahun berdiri. Awal mula Parkour Cilacap didirikan hanya sekedar hiburan semata,tetapi setelah para peminat banyak yang gabung, komunitas ini semakin heboh saja.
Apalagi setelah 2 orang Parkour dari Cilacap ini mengunjungi Parkour Jogja "JUMPALITAN"dan memberikan Kesan Yang baik Pula. Pernah Sebentar Komunitas Parkour Cilacap ini sempat Bubar, dikarenakan Ujian Nasional yang akan berlangsung. Tetapi dengan semangat dari Ketua Parkour Cilacap ini Parkour Cilacap Bangkit Kembali dan Namanya Berubah Menjadi "Cilacap X'team Parkour".

Cloud hosting, or online hosting in general, is not a new technology. Your emails hosted on your email provider’s server are as much cloud hosting as storing website files on content distribution networks or important documents with the help of a provider like Dropbox.
When you look at the services that Dropbox offers, you will notice that they offer free and professional accounts. Part of the cloud hosting providers popularity stems from that fact. But free alone is usually not good enough when it comes to hosting documents or files online. Other factors play important roles as well, among them security and reliability.
Generally speaking, security ensures that your data is safe and cannot be copied or deleted by third parties. Reliability on the other hand means availability of data and the service in general.
We have seen new cloud hosting players come into business who promised Gigabytes of free space only to vanish soon thereafter. As far as Dropbox is concerned, it all checks out.

Dropbox uses modern encryption methods to both transfer and store your data.

• Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) and AES-256 bit encryption
• Dropbox website and client software have been hardened against attacks from hackers
• Public files are only viewable by people who have a link to the file(s). Public folders are not browsable or searchable

Dropbox uses Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) for storage, which has a robust security policy of its own.

Dropbox launched their product in September 2008, and has since then shown significant growth. Today, the service has more than 45 million registered users who save one million files every five minutes.
New users who register an account can either select the free option which gives them 2 Gigabytes of free storage space, or one of the paid options which provide them with either 50 or 100 Gigabytes of space for $9.99 or $19.99 per month. Custom plans are available for teams and organizations.
Free users can increase their storage space by referring friends to the service. Both parties will receive 250 Megabytes of extra space up to a limit of 8 Gigabytes (Students receive 500 Megabytes for every referral).
They can afterwards download the Dropbox client software to their system. the client software is made available for Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac, Linux and mobile operating systems. The client creates a Dropbox folder on the system which acts as the root folder. All files that you copy in here will be synchronized with the online storage automatically, provided that you have enough space left for the operation.
Even better, Dropbox transfers the files automatically whenever they change. If you are working on a document in your Dropbox folder you will be able to access revisions of the file from the Dropbox online panel.
Files can also be accessed on the Dropbox website directly. This means that access is available even if you are working on a computer where Dropbox is not installed on (say Internet Cafe, public computer).
The files that you add or modify online are automatically synced with your devices.
Lets take a look at some usage scenarios:

• You are often on the road and need to access specific documents regularly. While you could carry around an USB device for that or even a laptop, you later need to make sure that the document is synced with your desktop computer and other devices where it is needed.
• You need to backup important data, e.g. spreadsheets, financial documents or your passwords managers encrypted database. Storing data online makes sure it is still available even if your computer is stolen or your house burns down.
• You need to share documents or files with select users. While you could use file hosting sites for this or email, you probably want to use a more secure option without storage restraints. You can also share entire folders with other users, which is excellent for project work.

Top 5 Tips

• You can use keyboard shortcuts to perform actions more quickly while browsing the files on the Dropbox website. You may need to enable keyboard shortcuts first in the online client. Click on Account > Account Settings and enable “Enable file browser keyboard shortcuts” to do so.
• You can limit the upload and download speed of file synchronizations in the client software.
• Check out My Computers under Account to see a list of computers that have recently connected to your Dropbox. You can unlink computers right here as well in case you want to remove a devices authorization.
• Version Control is a great feature. Free users get 30 days of version history. This can be used to preview and restore file snapshots.
• Use third party software like Dropbox Folder Sync or Boxcryptor to customize your experience even more.
